The new tool that goes by the name of flexSavvy now offers both existing and new customers the chance to determine the expected costs and delivery date for translation services in a very short space of time. The highlight: An explanatory function explains to new customers what is involved in the selected service and how this impacts upon the price and delivery time step by step. Existing customers and interested parties who have already worked with translation services can connect their own translation memory – a bilingual database of already translated sentences and phrases. Those who have not worked with translation service providers before will be precisely informed at each step about the respective services and the associated costs and delivery times for the various options, e.g., whether final editing by another specialist translator is recommended. Alternatively, the user can specify a desired delivery date for the order. Customer and project data is transferred in a single step, which, in turn, facilitates the organisational workflows for project management – the focus is now firmly on the quality of the language services and accurate offer preparation. At flexword, the project managers check all incoming orders for plausibility and peculiarities, such as text in graphics or large quantities of numbers in Excel sheets, in order to calculate and adjust the services and quotes as precisely as possible.
